Inspiration Wednesday: Excuse Syndrome
Sponsored post
After breaking free from the I DON’T HAVE WHAT IT
TAKES syndrome that made you never try, and doing all you could to eventually
overcome the PROCRASTINATION syndrome that took you over and prevented you from
starting. Another syndrome to watch out for is EXCUSE-GIVING. It is deceptive.
It doesn’t have symptoms that give you discomfiture. It puts you in
your comfort zone and makes you accept whatever comes your way, giving a
genuine excuse for it.
Ever wondered why so many dreams are stagnant or remain half
way done endlessly? It's because excuses are given for even the tiniest things.
You are comfortable in the fact that it can at least be seen and said of you
that you have made endeavours: you aren’t lazy. But then, when you meet a little
challenge, you accept or give yourself a factual reason(s) why you cannot
overcome it, then stylishly you go back to a state of rest (stillness), or better
put, you slumber.
Does a good farmer leave his plants to fate when the rains
do not come? No!
Wouldn’t he rather find a means to water them so
he doesn’t suffer loss nor have his efforts in futility? Yes! He would,
even though the unavailability of rain is a genuine excuse.
Stop giving excuses and start nourishing that/those dream(s)
of yours today. Do what needs to be done to make your seeds grow healthily.
