Little Black Dress as a wardrobe staple

A dress I believe is a vital item every girl, lady or woman should have in her closet; it could come in any colour, shape or cut and would fit virtually into all occasions. It is easy to just slip into and off you go.

However, a simple black dress can and will play all the tricks of these other colours.  Having your black dresses in simple cut or more prominent cut will give you that desired sophistication any day, anytime. This staple piece of item is one essential item for every woman, it easy to combine with any colour of accessories. It works for a casual outing, to the office setting and even for a date night. You can never be overdressed or underdressed with a little black dress.

The colour black is known for its authorities, gothic and powerful ambience, gives a kind of restful emptiness and mystery. No wonder it has remained a constant colour in the industry because it makes the wearer look thinner and chic. Although, too much of it can be overwhelming.

Black happens to be a good heat retainer, which means, having a dress in that colour works fine for you during harmattan and the fabric also could work if it is a thick one.

Moving on, having a little black dress saves you a lot of money, I mean, every time you have an event, do you have to go shopping for new dresses?, I don’t think so, but if you have cute and nicely cut black dress, nice heels, a purse and lovely accessories, girl… you would be slaying that event in no time.

Wearing a black dress also helps to hide accidental spills, you out and suddenly you sit on dirt or you spill some drink on yourself, don’t worry too much, just dab at the stain and move on. The colour hides your shames perfectly well till you can get out of the dress, this is not a license to been dirty though.

Every woman should own a little black dress and if a woman is allowed to have just one dress, it should be the little black dress.
